HSE asbestos medical surveillance is required by law for workers who are exposed to asbestos at work above the legal limit. This includes workers who work with asbestos-containing materials, such as construction workers, demolition workers, and shipbuilders.

ASSESSMENT
We will ask you to
- Complete a questionnaire based upon your employment background and medical history, this will also include a smoking history.
- There will be an focused examination of your heart and Lungs.
- A Lung function test will also be conducted; known as spirometry, which will test the function of your lungs.
In most cases you will be given results of the examination on the day.
